Why the Ribble Valley is so loved for weddings
The Ribble Valley is about as pretty as Lancashire gets. The river winds past Clitheroe, with its small Norman castle keep on a limestone outcrop above the town, and on through Whalley with its abbey ruins. Pendle Hill dominates the skyline to the east, and to the north the fells of the Forest of Bowland roll away into one of England’s designated landscapes of natural beauty. Stone villages, old coaching inns and working farms fill the gaps in between.
That countryside is why so many of the area’s wedding venues are barns and farm estates, often with views that make the photographer’s job easy. Head south to Blackburn and Darwen and the scenery shifts to Victorian mill-town grandeur, with manor houses built on the wealth of the cotton trade.

Bashall Eaves and Clitheroe
Bashall Barn is a restored 16th-century barn set in open Ribble Valley countryside just outside Clitheroe. Old stone and timber give our oak Vintage Booth a perfect setting.
The Out Barn at Bashall Eaves is a 17th-century stone hay barn with an oak-clad ceremony room facing Pendle Hill. Rustic, intimate and full of character, it suits couples who want a smaller, relaxed celebration in the heart of the valley.
West Bradford
Eaves Hall is a Grade II listed 1922 country house set in 13 acres, with a garden pavilion. Its elegant interiors are a natural home for the Glam Booth’s black & white portraits.
Stonyhurst
Hobbit Hill is a wedding barn with oak trusses on a 150-acre farm above the River Ribble, near the village of Hurst Green. Big beams and open views make for a relaxed, rustic celebration.
Darwen
Springbank Manor is a Victorian manor built in 1898 by mill owner John Pickup, a reminder of the textile wealth that shaped East Lancashire.

Our Glam Booth is a Kardashian-style photo booth with a white backdrop and flattering beauty lighting, creating black & white portraits that look timeless in any venue – and in a rustic barn they make a lovely contrast. Wedding DJ and photo booth in the Ribble Valley

- Country lanes: Many Ribble Valley venues are reached by narrow lanes and farm tracks. If there’s a separate supplier entrance or parking area, let us know.
- Barn layouts: In barns with a separate ceremony room, the booth usually works best in the main reception space. Tell us your layout and we’ll suggest a position.
- Long summer evenings: Golden hour views across to Pendle are hard to beat, so plan your booth time around photographs and the first dance.
- Book early: Couples usually book 12–24 months ahead. A booking fee secures the date, and the balance is due 14 days before the wedding.

We booked Selfie Star Photobooths after seeing the photobooth in action at a wedding fayre. Booking with them was seamless and everything was so easy to access on the portal. We met Wayne & Sally at a wedding fayre. They were both really lovely and approachable, discussing all of their options & packages. Their communication was excellent & their app is easy to use for updates, info on your package and payments. Having used photobooths before, I can say the tech from Selfie Star was the best quality we’ve seen! We had the ICON! Wayne on the night of our wedding was brilliant, super friendly & arrived in plenty of time for the start of the evening celebrations! He had a great attitude with all of our guests, creating a fab atmosphere and we all certainly had fun! We also added late to our booking an audio guestbook, which was no trouble and brilliant to use! Listening back to the messages has been a real highlight. We met Sally and Wayne at a wedding fair and hiring them was the best decision ever ( despite already having a DJ provided within our wedding package at Aldwark Manor) we knew it would be an extra cost but we were willing to do this as we wanted Wayne as our DJ , and he was worth every penny, he made our wedding exactly what we wanted he listened to our preferences and tailored the music to our taste. The guests absolutely loved him. He also helped organise the dance floor which I wanted and provided letters. Sally on the photobooth was equally amazing, guests had such a laugh and kept Sally busy. Definitely a must have at any party. The added bonus of us receiving a copy of every photo taken that night and placed in a box was simply brilliant myself and my husband were able to look through these at our leisure and have a good giggle. Absolutely amazing DJ and photobooth service for our wedding! Communication beforehand was excellent and they made everything so easy and stress-free from start to finish. They arrived punctually, were incredibly professional, and did everything we asked for with no problem at all. The DJ kept the dancefloor full all night and was also a fantastic MC, helping the whole evening run smoothly and keeping the atmosphere lively and fun. The photobooth was such a hit with all our wedding guests too! We couldn’t have asked for better entertainment for our special day and would highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding or event.

we loved our photo booth for our wedding last month. Not only did we hire that from Selfie Star, we hired the DJ, venue uplighting and sparkler fountains. We booked Selfie Star Photo Booth for our wedding and honestly it was one of the best investments we made. We went for the Kardashian filter to match our monochrome wedding theme and it looked incredible — the photos came out so stylish and elevated. Our guests absolutely loved it and were using it all night. The fact guests could have unlimited prints was amazing, and every print strip was personalised with our Mr & Mrs name and wedding date, with 3 photos on each print which looked so professional. Sally also shared a download link afterwards with all of the images, which was such a lovely touch. One of our favourite parts was coming home with a beautiful gift box containing copies of all the prints for us to add into our guest book and keep forever. Sally was fantastic throughout and everything ran so smoothly. We couldn’t recommend Selfie Star enough!

selfie star made our wedding!! run by two of the nicest people we have ever met, Wayne and sal went above and beyond for us to make our special day run as smoothly as possible. They even took all the stress away before hand and communicated with the hotel about arranging the room and making sure everything we had hired from them would fit, they contacted the tribute band we had coming to the wedding and made their set up easier by connect up to selfie stars equipment which made our turn around from the day in to the evening party much quicker! The dancefloor, star light back drop and light up shoots completely transformed our room, it looked amazing!! we also had the dancing with clouds and cold spark fire work for our first dance which was also looked amazing! selfie star also hosted our full day and was our DJ Which I believe made the day run so well. They made us feel very special and organised all the special parts of the day to make sure they went as well as they possibly could and really made the special moments count! THe music was brilliant they played a mixture of songs we asked for and then a mixture of songs from 80s 90s and now which was great the dancefloor was full of people all night! highly recommended this company they are fantastic, we also had the table selfie centerpiece aswell which we and all our guests had lots of fun with and captured loads of memories!
