Crowd of Favours is a characterful city centre pub at 4 to 12 Harper Street, just off Kirkgate and a short walk from Kirkgate Market. According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, it opened on Harper Street in 2013 and has a bar, several seating rooms, a small beer garden and a basement.
The character is a big part of the appeal. There are no TV screens; instead the walls and shelves are filled with artwork, books, board games and event posters. Downstairs, the basement has an arcade corner with retro games and a pinball table, and the Yorkshire Evening Post reports that it is mainly used for private hire. Visit Leeds lists two semi-private rooms for private hire, food served at lunch and dinner by Grilling Me Softy, and a regular line-up of open mic, games and jazz nights plus a Sunday quiz.

Glam Booth. For couples who want a sleek, editorial feel, the Glam Booth is our Kardashian-style photo booth: black and white portraits, a white backdrop and beauty lighting that flatters everyone. The contrast between a cool monochrome portrait and a cosy pub setting works really well. From £650.
AI Photo Booth. Crowd of Favours has a playful streak, with its arcade and games, and our staffed AI Photo Booth leans right into that. Guests can turn themselves into AI avatars, swap faces, or drop into artistic styles and AI backgrounds, then collect an instant print.
Because the venue is in central Leeds, our self-service Party Pod (from £425) and Digital Pod are also available. The Digital Pod sends photos straight to guests’ phones, which suits a smaller gathering in a semi-private room.

Wedding DJ and photo booth in Leeds city centre

Planning tips for your booth at Crowd of Favours
- Confirm which rooms you have. If you are hiring a semi-private room or the basement, ask the venue which areas are yours and where the booth can go.
- Plan the timings. A pub wedding reception often has a natural lull after food. Opening the booth then keeps guests entertained before the dancing starts.
- Tell us about access. Let us know about stairs and the best entrance for equipment, so our setup an hour before opening goes smoothly.
- Personalise the print. A Leeds-themed design or something that nods to your favourite pub games looks great in the gift box.
- Lock in your date. Couples usually book 12 to 24 months ahead. A booking fee secures your date, with the balance due 14 days before.

We booked Selfie Star Photo Booth for our wedding and honestly it was one of the best investments we made. We went for the Kardashian filter to match our monochrome wedding theme and it looked incredible — the photos came out so stylish and elevated. Our guests absolutely loved it and were using it all night. The fact guests could have unlimited prints was amazing, and every print strip was personalised with our Mr & Mrs name and wedding date, with 3 photos on each print which looked so professional. Sally also shared a download link afterwards with all of the images, which was such a lovely touch. One of our favourite parts was coming home with a beautiful gift box containing copies of all the prints for us to add into our guest book and keep forever. Sally was fantastic throughout and everything ran so smoothly. We couldn’t recommend Selfie Star enough!
We met Wayne & Sally at a wedding fayre. They were both really lovely and approachable, discussing all of their options & packages. Their communication was excellent & their app is easy to use for updates, info on your package and payments. Having used photobooths before, I can say the tech from Selfie Star was the best quality we’ve seen! We had the ICON! Wayne on the night of our wedding was brilliant, super friendly & arrived in plenty of time for the start of the evening celebrations! He had a great attitude with all of our guests, creating a fab atmosphere and we all certainly had fun! We also added late to our booking an audio guestbook, which was no trouble and brilliant to use! Listening back to the messages has been a real highlight. The turnaround on the online photo gallery & audio messages was amazingly quick too, coming back in just a few days after our wedding! Would highly recommend to anyone for any function! We met Sally and Wayne at a wedding fair and hiring them was the best decision ever ( despite already having a DJ provided within our wedding package at Aldwark Manor) we knew it would be an extra cost but we were willing to do this as we wanted Wayne as our DJ , and he was worth every penny, he made our wedding exactly what we wanted he listened to our preferences and tailored the music to our taste. The guests absolutely loved him. He also helped organise the dance floor which I wanted and provided letters. Sally on the photobooth was equally amazing, guests had such a laugh and kept Sally busy. Definitely a must have at any party. The added bonus of us receiving a copy of every photo taken that night and placed in a box was simply brilliant myself and my husband were able to look through these at our leisure and have a good giggle. We booked Selfie Star Photobooths after seeing the photobooth in action at a wedding fayre. Booking with them was seamless and everything was so easy to access on the portal. On the day, set up was done with no issues whatsoever and our guests were free to enjoy the fun this brought to our evening. Absolutely amazing DJ and photobooth service for our wedding! Communication beforehand was excellent and they made everything so easy and stress-free from start to finish. They arrived punctually, were incredibly professional, and did everything we asked for with no problem at all. The DJ kept the dancefloor full all night and was also a fantastic MC, helping the whole evening run smoothly and keeping the atmosphere lively and fun. The photobooth was such a hit with all our wedding guests too! selfie star made our wedding!! run by two of the nicest people we have ever met, Wayne and sal went above and beyond for us to make our special day run as smoothly as possible. They even took all the stress away before hand and communicated with the hotel about arranging the room and making sure everything we had hired from them would fit, they contacted the tribute band we had coming to the wedding and made their set up easier by connect up to selfie stars equipment which made our turn around from the day in to the evening party much quicker! The dancefloor, star light back drop and light up shoots completely transformed our room, it looked amazing!! we also had the dancing with clouds and cold spark fire work for our first dance which was also looked amazing! selfie star also hosted our full day and was our DJ Which I believe made the day run so well. They made us feel very special and organised all the special parts of the day to make sure they went as well as they possibly could and really made the special moments count! THe music was brilliant they played a mixture of songs we asked for and then a mixture of songs from 80s 90s and now which was great the dancefloor was full of people all night! highly recommended this company they are fantastic, we also had the table selfie centerpiece aswell which we and all our guests had lots of fun with and captured loads of memories!
