We are a luxury photo booth company based in Swillington, just outside Leeds. Weddings are the heart of what we do, but city centre hotels like Dakota also host plenty of birthdays, client dinners, corporate socials and festive parties, and our booths work just as well at all of them.

Dakota Leeds sits at 8 Russell Street in the city centre, a short walk from the shops and bars around Greek Street. Its event offering is built around a handful of distinct spaces rather than one big ballroom:
- The Lounge is available for exclusive hire from Sunday to Friday and comes with an outdoor heated Cigar Terrace. The hotel pitches it for parties, corporate socials and festive gatherings, with canapés, cocktails and audio-visual support.
- The Champagne Room is a private space with low lighting and a marble bar for Champagne service.
- The Greek Street Terrace is a heated outdoor terrace alongside Greek Street, serving small plates, cocktails and afternoon tea.
- Private dining rooms at The Grill suit intimate dinners, small celebrations and business meetings.

The Vintage Booth
If your wedding leans more classic than contemporary, our vintage photo booth hire brings a hand-crafted solid oak open booth with a choice of backdrops. Warm timber sits well against rich interiors. It starts from £625, and you can upgrade to the Glam Booth for £25.
The Party Pod and Digital Pod
As Dakota is in central Leeds, our self-service options are available too. The Party Pod prints in colour or black and white with a choice of backdrops, is dropped off during the day and runs all day, from £425. The Digital Pod sends photos straight to guests’ phones, which works well for corporate socials where people want to share instantly.
Corporate events, Christmas parties and private celebrations
Because Dakota is so popular for business and social events, it is worth knowing how the booth adapts. For a client evening, awards night or Christmas party we create personalised, branded print designs carrying your logo, event name or campaign colours, so every guest leaves with a keepsake that keeps your brand on their fridge or desk. The AI Photo Booth is a strong option for corporate crowds, with AI backgrounds, artistic styles, avatars and face swap, and instant prints. Planning tips for a Dakota Leeds photo booth
Pick the space first. Dakota offers several distinct rooms and terraces, so once you know which one you are booking, ask the events team where a booth could stand and where the nearest power is.
Think about flow. In a lounge-style space, guests move between bar, seating and terrace. Placing the booth on that route rather than tucked in a corner makes a big difference to how much it gets used.
Check access and timings. City centre hotels often have set times for deliveries and loading. Let us know what the venue advises and we will plan our arrival, an hour before the booth opens, around it.
Line it up with the evening. For a wedding, most couples open the booth as evening guests arrive. For a corporate event, opening it straight after speeches or awards keeps the energy up.

We booked Selfie Star Photo Booth for our wedding and honestly it was one of the best investments we made. We went for the Kardashian filter to match our monochrome wedding theme and it looked incredible — the photos came out so stylish and elevated. Our guests absolutely loved it and were using it all night. The fact guests could have unlimited prints was amazing, and every print strip was personalised with our Mr & Mrs name and wedding date, with 3 photos on each print which looked so professional. Sally also shared a download link afterwards with all of the images, which was such a lovely touch. One of our favourite parts was coming home with a beautiful gift box containing copies of all the prints for us to add into our guest book and keep forever. Sally was fantastic throughout and everything ran so smoothly. We couldn’t recommend Selfie Star enough!
Absolutely amazing DJ and photobooth service for our wedding! Communication beforehand was excellent and they made everything so easy and stress-free from start to finish. They arrived punctually, were incredibly professional, and did everything we asked for with no problem at all. The DJ kept the dancefloor full all night and was also a fantastic MC, helping the whole evening run smoothly and keeping the atmosphere lively and fun. The photobooth was such a hit with all our wedding guests too! selfie star made our wedding!! run by two of the nicest people we have ever met, Wayne and sal went above and beyond for us to make our special day run as smoothly as possible. They even took all the stress away before hand and communicated with the hotel about arranging the room and making sure everything we had hired from them would fit, they contacted the tribute band we had coming to the wedding and made their set up easier by connect up to selfie stars equipment which made our turn around from the day in to the evening party much quicker! The dancefloor, star light back drop and light up shoots completely transformed our room, it looked amazing!! we also had the dancing with clouds and cold spark fire work for our first dance which was also looked amazing! selfie star also hosted our full day and was our DJ Which I believe made the day run so well. They made us feel very special and organised all the special parts of the day to make sure they went as well as they possibly could and really made the special moments count! THe music was brilliant they played a mixture of songs we asked for and then a mixture of songs from 80s 90s and now which was great the dancefloor was full of people all night! highly recommended this company they are fantastic, we also had the table selfie centerpiece aswell which we and all our guests had lots of fun with and captured loads of memories! We met Sally and Wayne at a wedding fair and hiring them was the best decision ever ( despite already having a DJ provided within our wedding package at Aldwark Manor) we knew it would be an extra cost but we were willing to do this as we wanted Wayne as our DJ , and he was worth every penny, he made our wedding exactly what we wanted he listened to our preferences and tailored the music to our taste. The guests absolutely loved him. He also helped organise the dance floor which I wanted and provided letters. Sally on the photobooth was equally amazing, guests had such a laugh and kept Sally busy. Definitely a must have at any party. The added bonus of us receiving a copy of every photo taken that night and placed in a box was simply brilliant myself and my husband were able to look through these at our leisure and have a good giggle. We booked Selfie Star Photobooths after seeing the photobooth in action at a wedding fayre. Booking with them was seamless and everything was so easy to access on the portal. On the day, set up was done with no issues whatsoever and our guests were free to enjoy the fun this brought to our evening. All of our guests commented on how fantastic the photobooth was and how well it was operated. It brought so much fun and energy to the evening and was loved by everyone.
