About Wood Hall Hotel & Spa
Wood Hall is a Grade II listed mansion on Trip Lane, about a mile from the village of Linton. The present house was designed by John Carr around 1750 and is reached by a long private drive through roughly 100 acres of woodland, a short distance from the River Wharfe. It’s run today as a country house hotel by Hand Picked Hotels, with a spa including an indoor swimming pool, a steam room and a gym, which makes it popular with wedding parties who want to stay on and unwind.
The estate has a long history. For centuries it belonged to the Vavasour family, and an earlier house by the river was destroyed during the English Civil War. Later owners included the Scott family of Leeds, and in the 20th century the house served as a boys’ preparatory school and then as a pastoral centre for the Diocese of Leeds before opening as a hotel in 1988. Look out for the House of York coat of arms in the front hall: it’s a lovely detail to point out to guests.

For timeless elegance: the Glam Booth. Our Glam Booth is a Kardashian-style photo booth that creates black and white portraits on a white backdrop, with soft, flattering beauty lighting. The results look like they belong in a magazine, and they suit a classic country house wedding perfectly. The Glam Booth starts from £650.
For heritage charm: the Vintage Booth. Our Vintage Booth is hand-crafted from solid oak, open and staffed, with a choice of backdrops. Its warm wood finish complements period interiors, and because it’s open, guests gather round and join in. Prices start from £625, and if you choose the Vintage Booth or our DJ & Photo Booth package, you can upgrade to the Glam Booth for £25.
For all-day fun: the Party Pod. Wood Hall is close to Wetherby and Leeds, so our self-service Party Pod is available here. We drop it off during the day and it runs all day, with colour or black and white photos, backdrops and prints. Our Digital Pod, which sends images straight to guests’ phones, and our staffed AI Photo Booth are also options.

- Confirm the space with your coordinator. Check with the hotel’s wedding team which room your evening reception will be in and where the booth can sit. A spot near the bar or dance floor works well.

Absolutely amazing DJ and photobooth service for our wedding! Communication beforehand was excellent and they made everything so easy and stress-free from start to finish. They arrived punctually, were incredibly professional, and did everything we asked for with no problem at all. The DJ kept the dancefloor full all night and was also a fantastic MC, helping the whole evening run smoothly and keeping the atmosphere lively and fun. We booked Selfie Star Photo Booth for our wedding and honestly it was one of the best investments we made. We went for the Kardashian filter to match our monochrome wedding theme and it looked incredible — the photos came out so stylish and elevated. Our guests absolutely loved it and were using it all night. The fact guests could have unlimited prints was amazing, and every print strip was personalised with our Mr & Mrs name and wedding date, with 3 photos on each print which looked so professional. Sally also shared a download link afterwards with all of the images, which was such a lovely touch. One of our favourite parts was coming home with a beautiful gift box containing copies of all the prints for us to add into our guest book and keep forever. We met Sally and Wayne at a wedding fair and hiring them was the best decision ever ( despite already having a DJ provided within our wedding package at Aldwark Manor) we knew it would be an extra cost but we were willing to do this as we wanted Wayne as our DJ , and he was worth every penny, he made our wedding exactly what we wanted he listened to our preferences and tailored the music to our taste. The guests absolutely loved him. He also helped organise the dance floor which I wanted and provided letters. Sally on the photobooth was equally amazing, guests had such a laugh and kept Sally busy. Definitely a must have at any party. The added bonus of us receiving a copy of every photo taken that night and placed in a box was simply brilliant myself and my husband were able to look through these at our leisure and have a good giggle. We met Wayne & Sally at a wedding fayre. They were both really lovely and approachable, discussing all of their options & packages. Their communication was excellent & their app is easy to use for updates, info on your package and payments. Having used photobooths before, I can say the tech from Selfie Star was the best quality we’ve seen! We had the ICON! Wayne on the night of our wedding was brilliant, super friendly & arrived in plenty of time for the start of the evening celebrations! He had a great attitude with all of our guests, creating a fab atmosphere and we all certainly had fun! We also added late to our booking an audio guestbook, which was no trouble and brilliant to use! Listening back to the messages has been a real highlight. selfie star made our wedding!! run by two of the nicest people we have ever met, Wayne and sal went above and beyond for us to make our special day run as smoothly as possible. They even took all the stress away before hand and communicated with the hotel about arranging the room and making sure everything we had hired from them would fit, they contacted the tribute band we had coming to the wedding and made their set up easier by connect up to selfie stars equipment which made our turn around from the day in to the evening party much quicker! The dancefloor, star light back drop and light up shoots completely transformed our room, it looked amazing!! we also had the dancing with clouds and cold spark fire work for our first dance which was also looked amazing! selfie star also hosted our full day and was our DJ Which I believe made the day run so well. They made us feel very special and organised all the special parts of the day to make sure they went as well as they possibly could and really made the special moments count! THe music was brilliant they played a mixture of songs we asked for and then a mixture of songs from 80s 90s and now which was great the dancefloor was full of people all night! highly recommended this company they are fantastic, we also had the table selfie centerpiece aswell which we and all our guests had lots of fun with and captured loads of memories!
