Our Selfie Star team has worked a wedding at the Warton Arms in Woodmansey, and a booth suits the easy-going atmosphere of a pub party perfectly: guests can grab a drink, gather their friends and step up for a few frames whenever they like.
We are a luxury photo booth company based in Swillington, Leeds. Most of our work is weddings, with birthdays, anniversaries and corporate events too, and we cover Hull, Beverley and the wider East Riding.
About the Warton Arms
The Warton Arms is a large thatched pub on Hull Road in Woodmansey, on the A1174 between Hull and Beverley. Woodmansey sits about a mile and a half south-east of Beverley, and the Warton Arms is the village’s only pub.
It is a food-led pub that is popular with diners, serving cask ales alongside its menu, with a garden, parking and family-friendly facilities. In 2023 the pub closed for a two-week refurbishment that gave the interior a fresh look designed to work for all occasions, from casual lunches to special celebrations.
That thatched roof is the first thing guests will notice when they arrive, and it makes for a lovely, very English backdrop for your outdoor photographs.

Vintage Booth: a natural match
Our vintage photo booth hire is a hand-crafted, solid oak open booth with a choice of backdrops. A thatched village pub and handmade oak go together beautifully, and the open design invites big groups to squeeze in. It is staffed by one of our team and starts from £625.
Glam Booth: for flattering portraits
Our Kardashian-style photo booth creates black and white portraits on a white backdrop with flattering beauty lighting. Even in a casual setting, guests love having a portrait where they look their absolute best. From £650, or a £25 upgrade with the Vintage Booth or our DJ and photo booth package.
AI Photo Booth: for something unexpected
The AI Photo Booth brings AI backgrounds, artistic styles, AI avatars and face swap to the party, with instant prints, and gets every generation joining in.
Our self-service Party Pod and Digital Pod are Leeds-based options, so for a wedding near Beverley they are available when booked alongside an EventsDJ DJ.

Warton Arms wedding entertainment: DJ and photo booth
If you are planning an evening party at the pub, our sister company EventsDJ can provide the music. The Evening DJ package runs for five hours, and party DJ packages are £450. Book a DJ and booth together as our Wedding DJ & Photo Booth package to save money and keep everything under one booking. Cold spark fountains and a sax player are available as add-ons, subject to the venue’s own rules.

Planning tips for a photo booth at the Warton Arms
Speak to the pub team about space. Ask which area your party will have and where the booth can go without blocking the bar or walkways. A corner near where people dance usually works well.
Check whether you have the pub exclusively. If other diners will be in during your celebration, it helps to agree with the team which part of the pub is reserved for your guests, so the booth stays for your party.
Plan around food service. Pubs serve food to a schedule, so align the booth’s opening with the end of your meal or the arrival of evening guests.
Ask about power and access. We need a nearby socket and a clear route in for our equipment. We arrive an hour before the booth opens to set up.
Make the most of the thatch. Mention it to your photographer for daytime shots, then let the booth take care of the fun group photos later on.

Yes. We just need a suitable space and a power supply, which we will agree with you and the pub team in advance.
Do you cover birthdays and anniversaries too?
Yes. As well as weddings, we cover birthday parties, anniversaries and corporate events, with print designs personalised for each occasion.
What does it cost?

We met Sally and Wayne at a wedding fair and hiring them was the best decision ever ( despite already having a DJ provided within our wedding package at Aldwark Manor) we knew it would be an extra cost but we were willing to do this as we wanted Wayne as our DJ , and he was worth every penny, he made our wedding exactly what we wanted he listened to our preferences and tailored the music to our taste. The guests absolutely loved him. He also helped organise the dance floor which I wanted and provided letters. Sally on the photobooth was equally amazing, guests had such a laugh and kept Sally busy. Definitely a must have at any party. The added bonus of us receiving a copy of every photo taken that night and placed in a box was simply brilliant myself and my husband were able to look through these at our leisure and have a good giggle. We booked Selfie Star Photobooths after seeing the photobooth in action at a wedding fayre. Booking with them was seamless and everything was so easy to access on the portal. On the day, set up was done with no issues whatsoever and our guests were free to enjoy the fun this brought to our evening. Absolutely amazing DJ and photobooth service for our wedding! Communication beforehand was excellent and they made everything so easy and stress-free from start to finish. selfie star made our wedding!! run by two of the nicest people we have ever met, Wayne and sal went above and beyond for us to make our special day run as smoothly as possible. They even took all the stress away before hand and communicated with the hotel about arranging the room and making sure everything we had hired from them would fit, they contacted the tribute band we had coming to the wedding and made their set up easier by connect up to selfie stars equipment which made our turn around from the day in to the evening party much quicker! The dancefloor, star light back drop and light up shoots completely transformed our room, it looked amazing!! we also had the dancing with clouds and cold spark fire work for our first dance which was also looked amazing! selfie star also hosted our full day and was our DJ Which I believe made the day run so well. They made us feel very special and organised all the special parts of the day to make sure they went as well as they possibly could and really made the special moments count! THe music was brilliant they played a mixture of songs we asked for and then a mixture of songs from 80s 90s and now which was great the dancefloor was full of people all night! highly recommended this company they are fantastic, we also had the table selfie centerpiece aswell which we and all our guests had lots of fun with and captured loads of memories! we loved our photo booth for our wedding last month. Not only did we hire that from Selfie Star, we hired the DJ, venue uplighting and sparkler fountains. We booked Selfie Star Photo Booth for our wedding and honestly it was one of the best investments we made. We went for the Kardashian filter to match our monochrome wedding theme and it looked incredible — the photos came out so stylish and elevated. Our guests absolutely loved it and were using it all night. The fact guests could have unlimited prints was amazing, and every print strip was personalised with our Mr & Mrs name and wedding date, with 3 photos on each print which looked so professional. Sally also shared a download link afterwards with all of the images, which was such a lovely touch. One of our favourite parts was coming home with a beautiful gift box containing copies of all the prints for us to add into our guest book and keep forever. Sally was fantastic throughout and everything ran so smoothly. We couldn’t recommend Selfie Star enough!
