About Calverley Golf Club
Calverley Golf Club sits on Woodhall Lane in Pudsey, in open West Yorkshire countryside signposted from the A647 between Leeds and Bradford. The club was established in 1980, and its older nine-hole course was redeveloped and reopened in 2009 to a design by Peter McEvoy. Today it offers both an 18-hole course and a nine-hole pay-and-play course, and it welcomes visiting golfers as well as members.
Alongside the golf, the club hosts wedding ceremonies and celebrations, with a dedicated ceremony room for couples. That combination of green, open surroundings and a relaxed clubhouse atmosphere suits couples who want a friendly, unstuffy day close to home, and it works just as well for milestone birthdays and family parties.

The Party Pod is our self-service option, producing colour and black and white prints with a choice of backdrops. Calverley is well within our Party Pod area around Leeds, so it is a good fit for a birthday or a relaxed day-to-evening wedding: we drop it off in the day and it runs all day. Planning Tips for a Photo Booth at Calverley Golf Club
- Agree the spot early. Ask your venue coordinator where the booth can go. A space near the bar but out of the main walkway usually works best.
- Time it with the evening. Many couples open the booth as evening guests arrive, then let it run alongside the first dance and the busiest part of the night.
- Think about daylight. If you have a summer wedding, your photographer may use the course for couple portraits while the booth keeps guests entertained inside.
- Check power and access. We arrive an hour before opening, so let the club know our setup time when you confirm final details.
- Book early. Couples usually book 12 to 24 months ahead. A booking fee secures your date, and the balance is due 14 days before.

selfie star made our wedding!! run by two of the nicest people we have ever met, Wayne and sal went above and beyond for us to make our special day run as smoothly as possible. They even took all the stress away before hand and communicated with the hotel about arranging the room and making sure everything we had hired from them would fit, they contacted the tribute band we had coming to the wedding and made their set up easier by connect up to selfie stars equipment which made our turn around from the day in to the evening party much quicker! The dancefloor, star light back drop and light up shoots completely transformed our room, it looked amazing!! we also had the dancing with clouds and cold spark fire work for our first dance which was also looked amazing! selfie star also hosted our full day and was our DJ Which I believe made the day run so well. They made us feel very special and organised all the special parts of the day to make sure they went as well as they possibly could and really made the special moments count! THe music was brilliant they played a mixture of songs we asked for and then a mixture of songs from 80s 90s and now which was great the dancefloor was full of people all night! highly recommended this company they are fantastic, we also had the table selfie centerpiece aswell which we and all our guests had lots of fun with and captured loads of memories! We hired Selfie Star for the evening of our wedding. It was fantastic, all of our guests enjoyed it very much!
We met Sally and Wayne at a wedding fair and hiring them was the best decision ever ( despite already having a DJ provided within our wedding package at Aldwark Manor) we knew it would be an extra cost but we were willing to do this as we wanted Wayne as our DJ , and he was worth every penny, he made our wedding exactly what we wanted he listened to our preferences and tailored the music to our taste. The guests absolutely loved him. He also helped organise the dance floor which I wanted and provided letters. Sally on the photobooth was equally amazing, guests had such a laugh and kept Sally busy. Definitely a must have at any party. The added bonus of us receiving a copy of every photo taken that night and placed in a box was simply brilliant myself and my husband were able to look through these at our leisure and have a good giggle. So a massive thank you to both Sally & Wayne and if your looking for a top class DJ and photo booth look no further we highly recommend these guys they are the best.

Absolutely amazing DJ and photobooth service for our wedding! Communication beforehand was excellent and they made everything so easy and stress-free from start to finish. They arrived punctually, were incredibly professional, and did everything we asked for with no problem at all. The DJ kept the dancefloor full all night and was also a fantastic MC, helping the whole evening run smoothly and keeping the atmosphere lively and fun. The photobooth was such a hit with all our wedding guests too! We booked Selfie Star Photo Booth for our wedding and honestly it was one of the best investments we made. We went for the Kardashian filter to match our monochrome wedding theme and it looked incredible — the photos came out so stylish and elevated. Our guests absolutely loved it and were using it all night. The fact guests could have unlimited prints was amazing, and every print strip was personalised with our Mr & Mrs name and wedding date, with 3 photos on each print which looked so professional. Sally also shared a download link afterwards with all of the images, which was such a lovely touch. One of our favourite parts was coming home with a beautiful gift box containing copies of all the prints for us to add into our guest book and keep forever.
