So choosing the right DJ for any event, is on the face of it a simple task. That said when you take a step back and think through the detail it’s actually a really difficult choice to make. All DJ’s play music, some do it well, some not so well but they play music. They all turn up with equipment, some with professional grade premium equipment and others with poor/unreliable standards of equipment. They all set up their equipment, some make it look fantastic and some just look low rent.
Then you look at the DJ themselves, some are friendly, outgoing, personable, interested and professional to the core. Others are not and you regret booking them from the get go. Some give an amazing service both from the pre-event communication through to the night itself and others are lacking and slow in replying if they reply at all.
Lastly you have the big one, price! Some charge a lot, some charge not much and others charge a solid but fair price.
With a Wedding or Party DJ, it’s as important as selecting the right musical band. Your DJ will make or break your event. Picking a DJ that you vibe with and are able to relate to matters. You need to feel relaxed that the one visible individual in control of the music and more importantly the mic is not going to let you down.
The last consideration is this. Will it be the DJ that you’ve actually booked that turns up as so many of the “DJ’s” out there are actually capturing booking after booking to then try and find some random DJ to cover it, Where does that leave you? Well worrying about all of the above for sure!
Let me level with you, we are not the cheapest, we are not the most expensive. We charge a fair price for a premium DJ service. Top of the range equipment, experienced Wedding & Party DJ who knows how to fill a dancefloor. We provide a premium setup to all our events with top of the range sound and lighting equipment to give that wow factor. We are even particular of where our wires go so they are not on show wherever possible. The detail matters. When I then look at the pre-work, information seek, messages and calls that goes before any event it demonstrates why the detail matters. How can you make an event special when you haven’t done the leg work to understand the occasion. Oh and we never outsource. Well I say never, if I was exceptionally poorly there is one other DJ, a good friend who I know delivers to an equally good standard and is the only person I would trust with one of my events.
