We met Sally and Wayne at a wedding fair and hiring them was the best decision ever ( despite already having a DJ provided within our wedding package at Aldwark Manor) we knew it would be an extra cost but we were willing to do this as we wanted Wayne as our DJ , and he was worth every penny, he made our wedding exactly what we wanted he listened to our preferences and tailored the music to our taste. The guests absolutely loved him. He also helped organise the dance floor which I wanted and provided letters. Sally on the photobooth was equally amazing, guests had such a laugh and kept Sally busy. Definitely a must have at any party. The added bonus of us receiving a copy of every photo taken that night and placed in a box was simply brilliant myself and my husband were able to look through these at our leisure and have a good giggle. So a massive thank you to both Sally & Wayne and if your looking for a top class DJ and photo booth look no further we highly recommend these guys they are the best.

We had a Selfie Star photo booth at our wedding in April 2025. We had met the team at a wedding fayre a York racecourse and booked them on the day, which came with a deal which included the audio guestbook also. The process was easy and we used the portal to provide the team with final details. We also had some email communications with them, and they were always very responsive. We had some discussions around the backdrop for the photo booth, but the team were able to use the lovely stone wall in our venue, which added a personal touch. They also agreed to bring our back up option just in case this didnt work on the day The team very kindly agreed to help us with our guestbook, we provided the book and the team stuck in one copy of each photo and asked our guests to sign next to it. They even thoughtfully kept the first page free for when we got ourselves a picture. This guestbook has given us a lovely keepsake. The audio guestbook was also great fun to listen back to! The only comment I would have is that they were a little later arriving than we had expected, the venue team came to tell my mum and I that they had not arrived, but when my mum called a few minuets later they had just pulled up. I expect that this was just a delay or a miss-communication on the arrival time, but it did give us a small moment of panic on the day!

selfie star made our wedding!! run by two of the nicest people we have ever met, Wayne and sal went above and beyond for us to make our special day run as smoothly as possible. They even took all the stress away before hand and communicated with the hotel about arranging the room and making sure everything we had hired from them would fit, they contacted the tribute band we had coming to the wedding and made their set up easier by connect up to selfie stars equipment which made our turn around from the day in to the evening party much quicker! The dancefloor, star light back drop and light up shoots completely transformed our room, it looked amazing!! we also had the dancing with clouds and cold spark fire work for our first dance which was also looked amazing! selfie star also hosted our full day and was our DJ Which I believe made the day run so well. They made us feel very special and organised all the special parts of the day to make sure they went as well as they possibly could and really made the special moments count! THe music was brilliant they played a mixture of songs we asked for and then a mixture of songs from 80s 90s and now which was great the dancefloor was full of people all night! highly recommended this company they are fantastic, we also had the table selfie centerpiece aswell which we and all our guests had lots of fun with and captured loads of memories! We couldn’t have asked for anything better. From the off the relationship was superb, regular check ins to make sure everything was in order and we were all on the same page which put me at ease and had nothing to worry about. What a day.. we had the full package from ceremony to evening DJ, photobooth’s, love letters, dance floor you name it we had it and we are so happy that we did. From introductions to DJ banter the whole day was the absolute best thank you to Wayne & Sally who literally catered for everything with the most professional and caring service. On the fence? Will the DJ and photobooth be mega cheesy… too loud or tatty in presentation?? … that was my thoughts when searching for a DJ for our wedding. I booked totally blind and I think I got very lucky booking with selfie star. Communication, the app planning tools and the phone call 2 weeks before the day was very professionally executed. Wayne (DJ) and Sam (photo booth) were a delight to have around on the night and kept everyone on the dance floor despite a big mixed of ages and nationalities joining our evening party. Both the dj and photo booth looked fabulous and the props were all high quality. Thanks very much to you both!!! If your on the fence… you won’t regret booking these guys ☺️

We met Wayne & Sally at a wedding fayre. They were both really lovely and approachable, discussing all of their options & packages. Their communication was excellent & their app is easy to use for updates, info on your package and payments. Having used photobooths before, I can say the tech from Selfie Star was the best quality we’ve seen! We had the ICON! Wayne on the night of our wedding was brilliant, super friendly & arrived in plenty of time for the start of the evening celebrations! He had a great attitude with all of our guests, creating a fab atmosphere and we all certainly had fun! We also added late to our booking an audio guestbook, which was no trouble and brilliant to use! Listening back to the messages has been a real highlight. The turnaround on the online photo gallery & audio messages was amazingly quick too, coming back in just a few days after our wedding! Would highly recommend to anyone for any function! Huge thank you! 5*!

Selfie star have been amazing since we booked them for our wedding on 30th December 2023. Wayne and Sally offer fabulous customer service, and no request was too much. Sally was there on hand all evening with the Photo Booth, which has had many compliments from our wedding guests. Wayne was a fabulous DJ from start to finish. My (now) husband and I create a playlist of request from our guests RSVPs which we sent over to Wayne the week before the wedding, and from beginning to end of our reception the dance floor was full. We cannot recommend selfie star enough and will be sure to use their services again for future events. Thanks you so much, from Mr and Mrs Ward!

So glad we went with Selfie Star for our Magic Mirror at our wedding. From the start Wayne was so helpful in answering questions and on the day interacted great with ourselves and the guests making it as fun as possible! He had the patience of a saint. Loads of choice for backdrop, offered to change it at any point, box full of all the pictures and presentation was perfect. thanks again mate 👍🏻 would recommend to anyone

I booked SelfieStar for a corporate Christmas party and they were brilliant. The photos were great, and our team had the best time. We went for the Gatsby theme, and Selfie Star provided a relevant backdrop and props which added to the festivity. We had trouble with the venue and local council restricting loading and drop off, but the gentleman setting up and running the photobooth was nothing but professional, and worked hard to get set up on time and not let this affect our night. He was incredibly polite and also helped to calm my nerves/stress levels when setting up. Thank you so much!

Fab from start to finish! Fantastic service from Wayne when we used Selfie Star for our wedding this month. Despite some delays with our food service on the day, meaning Wayne was forced to delay setup by over an hour, he very kindly offered to stay on to make up the time lost, giving our guests plenty of time to enjoy the booth. Photos came out looking wonderful and our guests absolutely loved it! Couldn’t recommend them enough 😊 thank you Wayne and Sally!

I recently had a Selfie Star photobooth for my wedding and honestly I am disappointed, I wish I had chosen an alternative supplier. I had asked for the guestbook to be managed and for people to be encouraged to sign, the book had minimal writing in and just single photos spread out over a 30cm x 30cm book so it was a complete waste. I had asked my guests afterwards why they didn’t sign, some said they didn’t know they were supposed to as they weren’t told. I had a bag of items for the photo booth attendant to display on the table for people to use. The sign wasn’t displayed, the selection of coloured pens weren’t out for my guests, along with the cards I wanted putting on the table. I had left post it notes on each of the items to be laid out and these were ignored. I paid for 3 hours, the first photo was taken at 7:16pm and the groom was turned away at 9:37pm to go in the booth. There are no pictures of the bride and groom in the photobooth together. I understand this is partly my fault, but the attendant could have prompted a bridesmaid or myself to grab the groom as the excitement of the night took over. I’m gutted I don’t have any photos of us in there together. Also, I’ve had complaints from my guests saying the attendant wasn’t very polite and also didn’t always give copies of the photos out/wasn't clear that they weren’t all stuck in the book. The backdrop provided was a lovely colour, the machine was pretty and my printouts looked nice. But the overall experience was a disappointment and I wouldn’t use this company again.
